A new concept in tempera paints, these Tempera Tubs give the young artist the opportunity to express themselves using many techniques from heavy ‘Impasto’ and ‘Sgraf to’ through ‘Dry Brush’ to delicate ‘Washes’. Formulated for the young user to give all the safety and washability properties of a ready mixed paint. An incredibly versatile paint for the young artist.
Washes:
Using a wet brush transparent washes can be created, allowing the young user to experience a whole host of painting techniques. Such as: ‘Wet -in-Wet’, ‘bleeding’, ‘feathering’, ‘transparent glazes’ and ‘resists’.
Dry Brush:
Using a dry or damp brush or cloth, experiment with ‘scumbling’ and ‘detailing’ effects.
Impasto:
Using plastic tool like a old credit card or comb, build textured effects. Use the end of a brush to create ‘sgraf to’ effects
Drying in the tub will occur if the lid is left off for extended periods. Adding water will re-wet the paint or alternatively remove the top
dry layer. PAINTS DO STAIN. Washing Instructions - soak immediately in water and leave overnight. Then wash in normal manner or try
a stain remover on more stubborn stains. We recommend that protective clothing is used when using all art materials.
