A-Star Claves - Pair

One of our best selling handheld percussion instruments, the A-Star claves are perfect for engaging younger children into the world of music, especially with the brightly coloured finish of these pairs. Claves are traditionally used in Caribbean, African and Brazilian music, often used to play a repeating rhythm throughout a piece. To produce a crisp, bright sound, hold one of the claves lightly in your non-dominant hand with just the tips of your fingers and thumb. This should create a resonating chamber as you strike with the other clave in your dominant hand. Our claves are popular with primary schools and are ideal for teaching children about rhythm and timing.
