Medium Fireman's Helmet

A medium sized, reproduction leather fire helmet as worn by the firemen at the Great Fire of London. Approx 39cm wide.(Child sized)

Fire Helmetshelped protect the wearer's neck, as it had a large flap at the back. It would have been made from leather with a padded inside. Leather is fire and heat resistant making it a perfect material for Firemans helmets at the time.
