Specialist Crafts Mid Temperature Glazes

A range of ready-to-use decorative colours which offer just a little more in terms of their fired appearance.

Most of the colours work best on textured surfaces where other minerals in the glaze will break through on raised and recessed areas of the clay to create great effects with minimum effort. The texture glazes in this range are best applied to a textured surface at least 3mm in depth to allow the minerals in the glaze to "break through" and create the patterning shown in the swatches below.

These mid-temperature glazes add a wonderful finish to any ceramic piece and will fire to a gloss finish (G) or a satin finish (S). Finish and effect will vary depending on firing temperature, but see swatches for an example of the fired glazes on a textured (ridged) surface.

Firing range for all of the colours is 1120-1180°C.

All are FOOD-SAFE except for Gold & Pewter. All are lead-free, except Texture Burgundy.

Stir well prior to use, apply three coats and leave to dry prior to firing. 473ml bottles.
