Travelling Tales - Handa’s Surprise

Everybody loves a good fable! In Handa's Surprise by Eileen Browne, a text that covers the themes of friendship and animals, Handa decides to take a basket of taste sensations to her friend over in the next village, but animals along the way have other plans. Your class are sure to love this cheeky and fun story set in Kenya, part of the Travelling Tales series from Hope Education. 

With Travelling Tales, Handa's Surprise, a range of resources can be used to explore other cultures in a series of lessons based around quality texts. We have included finger puppets of Handa and the cheeky animals, as using a multi-sensory approach to storytelling is beneficial to young learners, Handa comes across to help you tell the story in a memorable way.
