Specialist Crafts Decorating Slips are ready-to-use ceramic colours designed for decorating greenware before firing. Suitable for both brush application and slip trailing techniques, they allow students to add colour, pattern and decorative detail to ceramic projects with ease.
The slips fire within a temperature range of 1060°C to 1150°C, producing a matt, porous finish that highlights surface decoration and design work. For a brighter appearance and a sealed finish, decorated pieces can be coated with a transparent glaze and fired again.
Ideal for pottery, sculpture, tile work and classroom ceramics projects, these slips support a wide range of decorative techniques while encouraging creative experimentation with colour and pattern.
Supplied in 500ml bottles, making them suitable for shared classroom and workshop use.
